Reaction/Reflection Posting

The post is my reaction to the Texas Instruments DLP 3D Projector.
The projector is only 3D with software purchased from Texas Instruments. At this time, it seems a 3D projector would not be a fiscally feasible purchase for the classroom. The added cost of the software that may or may not pertain to content standards cannot be justified. This is an interesting concept for what we will see in the future with 3D classroom technology. I believe this is a beginning building block. I can imagine teaching virtual anatomy and physiology. How fun! This is one of those situations in which we must be careful that the technology will enhance student learning and focus on student learning as opposed to just adding in technology for the "bells and whistles". An important concept to successful technology integration. The following YouTube link is an advertisement for the product.
