Most of the articles chosen by students for the discussion reflected the same prevalent thoughts as the textbook and support chapter. These prevalent themes summarized focus on placing student learning first. Technology is an enhancement and enrichment to learning. It should be used to further student learning goals and outcomes. The technology must never be used for the sake of using technology. It must be evaluated and used as the best tool to accomplish learning goals. The other prevalent theme is that support is needed to implement technology. Simply placing technological hardware or software in a classroom is not implementation. Implementation takes thought and planning. It is pleasing to see that integration focuses on a student-centered classroom as opposed to the technology competing with learning.
